Additional Education Experience
I was the founding principal of a charter high school in Los Angeles in 2013. As principal, I planned and directed all educational programs at the school, including several significant partnerships with aerospace and advertising companies. The school received a Bill and Melinda Gates next generation learning challenge grant for establishing an innovative project based and blended learning environment. The school qualified as a Title 1 school, meaning a significant number of students received free meals. While I was principal, our students enrolled in the University of California system at double the state average rate. Before becoming a principal I taught high school courses in physics, mathematics, computer aided design, government, music and archery.
